Gold Coast Quilters Guild - Queensland Australia
The Gold Coast Quilters Guild was founded on August 24, 1988 at the Mudgeeraba Showground Hall, several kilometres west of the famous Gold Coast beach strip. Betsy Leydon and Christine Baumann were the ladies responsible for holding a special meeting on that day and so the GCQ Guild was born.

Gold Coast Quilters Guild is a non-profit organisation and membership is open to anyone with an interest in quilting; newcomers to quilting are welcome. It is headquartered in Broadbeach, Qld. There are approximately 150 members.

The Guild general membership meeting is held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at Albert Waterways Community Centre. The Annual General Meeting is held at the September meeting. Visitors are invited to attend twice before joining.
